Diva Thoughts to Close Out Your 2019!

As the year and a decade comes to an end, I wanted to leave you all with my thoughts in the final GiGi Approved column for 2019. It has been quite an adventure for me this year in regards to realizing how many skincare products are actually out in the market place today. It makes my head spin. What makes one better than the other (future column, I promise)?

What I do love about today is how many people are passionate about skincare products (yay for the self-care movement) and how vital cruelty-free has become to the population of product junkies out there. In the next decade, there should be significant advances in the way we test these products. Don’t get me wrong; there is still so much work to be done, but many companies are proud of their cruelty-free stamp as they should be.

I stand up for our furry friends, write letters, and challenge others to explain the reasoning behind their actions. Does it make a difference, you bet! The more of us that come together, the stronger the message will become! What I ask of you is to do your research before you purchase a product. I know time can be limited, and that is why I created the GiGi Approved Column so that it could be easier for you.

Is there another way to check for the safety of these drugs? I believe there is, but I am not an expert in the field. However, I feel that there are better ways to test for product safety as we are so technologically advanced; it is crazy to think otherwise.

Is this the beginning of cruelty-free recognition and demand for over-the-counter products at the start of a revolution? Maybe, and I hope so. In the meantime, we have to keep fighting and wait and see what the next decade brings. I am going to keep writing and creating awareness, and I hope you can join me in 2020. MUAH!????
